A truly momentous event is about to visit Port Elizabeth. For the first time ever an internationally renowned Russian Ballet Company will visit the (Theatre name) to perform the complete classical ballet

SWAN LAKE

Danced by quite wonderful dancers, Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake will be performed in its entirety with lavish settings, glorious costumes and a full corps de ballet.

Swan Lake was first performed in St Petersburg – the home city of the St Petersburg Ballet Theatre in 1877. Since that time it has become the world’s most famous, and indeed loved, classical ballet.

Now Port Elizabeth has the opportunity of seeing the St Petersburg Ballet’s Swan Lake as it tours South Africa in early 2007.

The performances will take place at on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22 April.
