On 11th April 2009 Irina Kolesnikova, for the very first time, will take part in Gala of world ballet stars DANCE OPEN which traditionally takes place in St. Petersburg on the stage of Octabrsky.
Irina will be partnered by premier danseur of Bolshoi Theatre Alexander Volchkov.
This wonderful dancer has been a member of Bolshoi Ballet since 1997.He dances leading roles in ballets which are the base of Bolshoi repertoire….
Raymonda, Legend of Love, Romeo and Juliette, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake,Don Quixote, La Bayadere and Flames of Paris and many others…
Irina and Alexander will be dancing the Black Swan Pas de Deux from Swan Lake.
Only stars at the peak of their careers or the hot new dancers on the international stage are invited to take part in Gala Dance Open. The Gala participants represent many different continents, and the world`s most famous companies.
And what a pleasure and honour it is that Irina Kolesnikova already widely famous abroad, will now dance before the St. Petersburg public and on the same stage with such great dancers as Daniel Ulbricht (New York City Ballet), Angel Corella (American Ballet Theatre, Carella Ballet), Daniil Simkin(American Ballet Theatre), Adeline Pastor (Aalto Theater Essen), Vladimir Malakhov (Berlin Staatsballet), Diana Vishneva (Mariinsky Theatre), Igor Zelensky (Mariinsky Theatre), Denis and Anastasia Matvienko (Mariinsky Theatre), Ivan Vassiliev(Bolshoi) and other performers all of highest international class.
