From 1st to 9th March 2016 the Konstantin Tachkin Saint Petersburg Ballet Theatre (SPBT) will be performing in Israel for the first time. The tour will take in four towns: Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa and Beersheba.
As soon as tickets went on sale the Saint Petersburg ballet company’s repertoire captured the interest of the Israeli public, so the organizers have asked the SPBT management to add three more performances to the schedule. In total SPBT will give twelve performances in nine days.
The ballet audiences will be able to see two jewels of the company’s repertoire, the classical ballets, Swan Lake and Giselle.
The lead roles in 6 of the performances will be danced by the Konstantin Tachkin Ballet’s Prima Ballerina Irina Kolesnikova. She departed for the tour of Israel straight after her dazzling performances in Paris, where her personal Irina Kolesnikova Season took place for the ninth time.
Giselle will be performed at 8 o’clock on 1st and 2nd March at the Tel Aviv Centre for the Performing Arts.
Swan Lake will be performed on 3rd, 4th and 5th March at the Tel Aviv performing Arts Centre, on 7th March at the Jerusalem Centre for the Performing Arts, on 8th March at the Haifa Auditorium and on 9th March in the main auditorium of the Beersheba Centre for the Performing Arts.
