St Petersburg Ballet Theatre

to intro

Saint-Petersburg Ballet Theatre (SPBT) returned to home after a successful debut in the Olavinlinna Castle, where it presented to audience the Tchaikovsky`s "Swan Lake" with Irina Kolesnikova as Odette-Odile. The performances were sold out and received very warm reception from the public.

On 13th of August, the Finnish Ita-Savo published a review entitled " Irina Kolesnikova’s delicate virtuosity enchanted at Swan Lake at Olavinlinna ", which also enthusiastically writes about the performance of the whole troupe: “A performance by the St. Petersburg Ballet Theater at Olavinlinna last Friday offered shimmering beauty of blue scenes, airy leaps, rhythmical character dances, graceful hand gestures, and sighs from the audience… The strength and level of the Russian ballet tradition were convincing.

On February 25, the St. Petersburg Ballet Theater again showed the ballet "Giselle" with Irina Kolesnikova on the stage of the Hermitage Theatre. Many thanks to all the artists for a great performance, and to the audience for a warm welcome!
